Manu Ferneini is a 20-year-old documentary photographer from Lebanon, currently studying in London.
Although her photographs are embedded in different contexts and motivations, they all seek to convey the essence of a place and its people, to make certain aspects of their identities visible.
“A common element in my photos is the presence of light and color which I believe highly impacts the viewer’s reception of the photograph. By visually transcribing the feeling of what it was like for me to ‘be there’, I can perhaps better communicate the essence of a person or a place to the viewer.”
