Caitlin Johns is a part time illustrator & CEO whilst studying Law.
Her ultimate goal is not to be an artist but to use her art to inspire others whilst making social justice difference with her degree.

“I want everyone to not be afraid about speaking out against injustices such as sexism, racism, homophobia etc & if using my artwork helps them achieve that then my work has served purpose in my eyes.”

💃

“My creative process is to sketch all drawings then create a digital illustration using my iPad and adobe illustrator. I use pastel colour schemes to portray the fememinity and strong messages with typography to get my political/ social point across. “

What would be your message to young girls around the globe?

To be yourself! Express yourself however that may be and to not give up fighting for equality and learn to love yourself.

🙇‍♀️

What social / political issues are the most important to you?

Equality!! Wether that be women’s rights, black lives matter, getting rid of trump!

🎨

What keeps you sane in this insane world?

Drawing and music! A completely shut off from the world & knowing I can raise awareness and inspire others to do the same.

🌷

What do you see as your biggest challenge?

Not giving up on yourself. At times I’ve wanted to stop what I do and overcoming this is difficult, but remembering the people that look up to my strength and courage to be outspoken is inspiring and keeps me moving.

😍

What makes you feel at home?

Friendly people!

What do you think about the statement “feminism includes all genders”?

It does!! I can’t stress enough how feminism is NOT about hating men! It’s about equality – wanting basic equal rights between both men and women (including trans people) of all races & cultures & ages.
