What would be your message to young girls around the globe?

Never underestimate your power – find something you are passionate about and speak up. If you’re not heard the first time, shout louder.

🎨

What keeps you sane in this insane world?

I’m not sure anybody is completely sane, but the people I have in my life definitely keep me grounded and help me through times where I feel a little more ‘insane’ than usual.

Tell us about your creative process.

Art has been a part of who I am from a very young age so I don’t know any different. My inspiration comes from a lot of different places – other creatives, online, books, magazines, the real world… At the moment, I’m heavily inspired by interior design and love creating illustrations of my dream spaces. I firstly gather a couple of reference images and then begin creating the work digitally. I very rarely plan artwork first so it’s just a case of creating and tweaking as I go.

😊

Fun fact about you

I once won a balloon race – my ballon flew all the way to Germany from the UK (about 600 miles); somebody found it and wrote back to me.

🔮

If you would have to send an art piece/human/ invention to an intergalactic competition to represent Earth, what would you choose?

Probably an iPad – I currently volunteer at art classes run by a local organisation and we work a lot with iPads to draw and take photographs. Most of the members of the group have never interacted with technology like this before and it’s amazing to watch them discover the endless possibilities iPads can offer in terms of creativity and practicality.
